Hi, I'm Saramsha.
Applied AI Engineer | ex-Founder
I'm a senior software engineer on the Applied AI team at Warner Bros. Discovery. Currently, I am working on building a semantic search and retrieval system across our roughly million hours of film and TV, and an org-wide AI agent for the Media Supply Chain team that handles tasks, automates workflows, and answers questions from the customers.
Before this, I was a startup co-founder. I spent five years building Naamche, a software development studio I co-founded with my friends in 2020. Based out of Nepal, we grew it from three engineers to forty and shipped real-estate, fintech, and agri-tech products for clients, mostly in the US. In December 2023 we were acquired by reAlpha, a Nasdaq-listed proptech company. This was the first time a Nepali software company had been acquired by a Nasdaq-listed public company. I stayed at reAlpha as a tech lead for a few months before moving to WBD.
Even before, I started my career as a machine learning engineer at Fusemachines straight out of college. I studied computer engineering at Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuvan University, in Nepal — I grew up there, and moved to New York for work.
I read a lot and watch too much football. Mostly Liverpool.
